Tom Laffer was brash, loud, and always swooping into towns, “rescuing” bars that didn’t ask for his help. The night of his death, he made the rounds at ten of Boston’s most illustrious cocktail dens, scribbling stolen ideas in his leather notebook and offering unsolicited and unwelcome advice to the people pouring his drinks.
But it looks like one of Boston’s best bartenders didn’t appreciate their hard work being cribbed and critiqued, so they cut him off for good.
Now it’s up to you to collect the clues.
Visit each participating bar across the city and order their Mystery Cocktail.
You’ll receive a stamp on your Case File and a set of Clue Cards—suspects, crime scenes, and possible weapons.
Collect clues, cross off possibilities, and piece together who killed Tom Laffer, where, and with what.
Once you’ve solved the case, your completed Case File will be your ticket to the Last Call Ball, a cocktail costume party featuring all the suspects tending bar at a secret location on Halloween weekend.
